ABL Training & Development

Our Purpose

The Algonquins of Barriere Lake Training & Development program is dedicated to empowering our members through skills, education, and career opportunities. We believe that investing in training strengthens our community, supports our youth, and builds long-term capacity for self-sufficiency and growth.

What We Do

  • Skills Training: Deliver workshops and certifications that prepare community members for employment in trades, administration, technology, and other key sectors.
  • Employment Readiness: Provide coaching, resume support, and job search assistance to help individuals enter and succeed in the workforce.
  • Youth Development: Create opportunities for young people to gain work experience, leadership skills, and exposure to future career paths.
  • Community Capacity Building: Partner with local, regional, and national organizations to bring training resources directly to Barriere Lake.
